The 82nd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Public Health
Singing Beethoven's Ninth Symphony with the General Public!
Thanks to your support and assistance, we have reached our target amount!
Thank you very much.
With the power of music, we would like to prepare for a joyful time of moving forward together with the participants of the conference and the general public.
Anyone attending the conference can sing on the spot, but we will soon provide information for those who wish to participate as a choir, so please wait for a while.
On the occasion of the 82nd Annual Scientific Meeting, we wanted to provide an opportunity to express our gratitude and appreciation to public health professionals, including health centers that have worked on the front lines of public health, as well as to the citizens who have endured difficult days. Furthermore, in order to "join forces together" across professions, ages, and positions to confront future health crises, we thought of harnessing the power of music! As a group of volunteers, we have launched the "Chorus of the Ninth Symphony at the Japan Society of Public Health" project.
While implementing appropriate infection control measures, we aim to perform the 3rd and 4th movements of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9, also known as the "Ode to Joy," at the conference venue (Tsukuba International Congress Center Foyer) on the second day (November 1st) at 5 PM. As a means of preparation, we have launched a crowdfunding campaign on the platform Readyfor (http://readyfor.jp/projects/tsukubadai9).
All conference participants are welcome to sing along from anywhere in the venue. We kindly ask for your understanding of the purpose and your support, so that we can share the excitement and experiences together.
